About Complete Science
Complete Science provides high quality tuition, mentoring and educational support grounded in extensive professional experience across mainstream education, specialist provision and private practice. The work is informed by a deep understanding of how children and young people learn, alongside strong subject knowledge and insight into assessment and progression.
Support is designed to be thoughtful, purposeful and responsive, whether working with individual learners or families.
Tutoring, Mentoring and Academic Support
Tuition has been a central part of practice since 2010, supporting learners from age five through to university level. This includes subject specific tuition in science, mathematics and English up to GCSE, as well as broader mentoring focused on study skills, organisation, confidence and academic resilience.
Experience includes preparation for 11 plus and 13 plus entrance examinations, GCSE science support, stretch and challenge for high attaining students, and tailored programmes for learners who require additional structure or reassurance. Sessions are individualised and carefully planned, with a focus on sustainable progress rather than short term gains.
SEND Expertise and Inclusive Practice
A significant proportion of work has focused on supporting children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. This includes extensive experience working with learners with EHCPs and needs such as autism spectrum condition, ADHD, dyslexia and speech, language and communication needs.
Professional practice includes close collaboration with families, schools and external professionals such as educational psychologists, speech and language therapists and occupational therapists. This ensures that support is aligned with statutory guidance, recommended strategies and the wider needs of the learner.
Curriculum Knowledge and Assessment Insight
Strong curriculum knowledge underpins all tuition and resource creation. This includes delivering and supporting all aspects of the Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 curriculum, with a particular specialism in science.
In addition, work as a GCSE science examiner with a major exam board provides direct insight into examination standards, assessment objectives and common misconceptions. This allows learners to be supported with clarity, accuracy and confidence, while maintaining a focus on secure understanding.
Qualifications and Professional Development
Professional qualifications include a Postgraduate National Award in SEN Coordination, SSAT Lead Practitioner Accreditation and a PGCE in Secondary Science. Academic study is underpinned by a background in childhood studies and learning and teaching, providing a strong theoretical foundation alongside practical experience.
Ongoing professional development is a priority, with regular engagement in specialist training related to SEND, curriculum design, assessment and pedagogy. Further academic study is planned at doctoral level, reflecting a continued commitment to evidence informed practice.
Working with Families
Complete Science works with families seeking high quality, professional support for their children across a range of educational settings. This includes learners in independent, grammar, mainstream and international schools, as well as those educated through alternative pathways.
The approach is collaborative, discreet and centred on achieving meaningful outcomes for learners while supporting confidence and independence.
Commitment to Quality
Complete Science is built on the belief that effective educational support should be precise, ethical and grounded in expertise. Tuition and mentoring are designed to be rigorous yet supportive, adapting to individual needs while maintaining high expectations.
Families can be confident that all work is informed by extensive professional experience, current educational practice and a genuine commitment to learner progress and wellbeing.
